Children’s Chemistry Set , Volcano Eruption
The most popular of children’s chemistry set should be volcano eruption. We could find various of Chemistry set about this experiment.
As a STEM wholesaler and manufacturer, it’s also one of our general chemistry kits.
What’s the Volcanoes?
Volcanoes are violent crustal movements. The hot magma inside the earth has great activity. Sometimes it intrudes into rock strata, sometimes it erupts violently to the surface.
The earth’s interior is full of hot magma. Under great pressure, magma will break through the crust from weak places and gush out, causing volcanic eruption.
How to do the experiment?
Today I’m going to teach you to do a small scientific experiment called “volcanic eruption”. The whole experiment is divided into four steps.
We need to prepare the items: volcano model, plastic cup, syringe, spoon, mixing stick, eye mask (optional), sodium bicarbonate powder and citric acid.
1. Keep the model dry. Stir with baking soda to make sure that the more baking soda you add, the more baking soda you add.
2. Pour water into the plastic cup and fill it with syringe
3. Confirm whether to wear goggles. After confirmation, inject all the water in the syringe into the crater. Pay attention not to touch the model directly to avoid injury. Finally, the phenomenon was observed.
4. Experimental phenomenon: Red bubbles gush out quickly, just like volcanic eruption!
What can we learn from this chemistry experiment?
Sodium bicarbonate powder, citric acid and water can cause “volcano eruption”.
Experimental experience: through this experiment, I understand that volcanic eruption is a chemical phenomenon. I also understand that we can simulate volcanic eruptions with sodium bicarbonate powder and water and citric acid.
